I established a really accurate load in my 6.5 PRC. 24" Proof, 156 Berger, Lapua Brass, 57gr H1000. Per the magneto speed, I was averaging right at 2,915fps. This load was developed with about 70 rounds down the barrel.

Fast forward 40 shots later. That same exact load (thanks to @Ladd 's generosity), is now turning out an average velocity of 2,960. To my very pleasant surprise, accuracy remained very good. I cannot notice a drop off from the original 2,915 load. All I had to do was adjust my dope.

Have you guys had similar experiences? Anything I should start monitoring a little bit closer? What are the odds that I will need to tinker with my load if it hasn't shown signs of accuracy losses at this point?

I've had barrels speed up at various points, almost always below 200 rounds. In my case it's pushed me slightly off a node and I had to make some small adjustments. I would just check for accuracy the next few times you go to the range. If it stays put, you're set. If it falters, I'd try dropping down in powder to see if the accuracy is still at the old velocity or not.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Enjoy the benefits.
