So we are getting several requests for terminal performance data from Cutting Edge Bullets. Please post up your hunting results here so we have a data log. We will be adding our own data soon.

Impact velocity and a damage report would be great if you have it, along with caliber and bullet used.

Thank you
Jeff

We do have this video from Samantha of CEB taking her deer at 730 yards to start.

And we found this of a bull elk taken with a 252 gr CEB MTH in a 338.

Broz, have you worked up a load that you’re happy with for 300 wm? I’m liking what I’ve heard with the lazers just looking for a starting point.
Thanks!

I doubt I change much with the 300 win mag and 215 Berger Combo. It has served me very well. Probably over 100 elk so far.
For sure, that’s been my go to combo for a while now. A lot of my hunting is done in thick timber in nw mt, so I’m trying to put together a good sub 100 yd combo. Bergers at that velocity/distance can get it done, but I’d like something that holds together a bit more.

hey jeff, i dont really know much about the copper bullets. it appears everyone shoots light ish for caliber bullets fast? whats the reasoning for this? like you shoot the 265's instead of a heavier option even though it appears your twist rate in the 338 terminator would handle it. just looking to better understand them. have a new build idea in a mild 338 that i may want to try some of the lighter cutting edge lazers. thanks

Yes, I run the numbers to 1000 yards and then decide which has the best external ballistics for hunting , more velocity or more BC. But I will only go so light as I like big bullets.

Tagging this for future updates. I plan to try some of the 230 Lazermaxes in my 300 NMI. I’ll be running an 8 twist barrel.
